Admission requirements:
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely-related discipline*.
*Admission of students without a Bachelor degree in engineering:
Although a Bachelor degree in engineering is normally required, students with a four-year Bachelor's degree in a closely related discipline based on physical science will be considered for admission. Examples include, but are not limited to, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. For individuals without an engineering degree, a demonstrated aptitude for engineering and applied science such as through professional work or volunteer experience is recommended. Additionally, such students will be expected to meet course prerequisites the same as other students in the program. - 76% or B+ in senior-level coursework. An applicant with < 76% may be admitted if 80% or higher has been achieved in at least 12 credits of senior level coursework, and ≥ 74% in remaining senior-level coursework.
Note: Students without Thermodynamics background at the second-year level or above will need to take remedial thermodynamics before they can take the CEEN 501 course.

Candidates for admission must submit an online application, three letters of reference, and two sets of official transcripts from each post-secondary institution attended. Please mail all supporting documents to the Graduate Student Admission office at the address below. Please clearly state “Clean Energy Research Centre” at the address.
Foreign applicants whose native language is not English must write the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). All official test scores must be submitted to the Department to which you are applying directly by the testing agency.
